The Gusto y Placer - Supports positive Latino education outcomes through the Parent Institute for Quality Education
Puente’s Gustoso Aguardiente Artisanal Rum is one of very few sugarcane distillates from Mexico in the US market. Gustoso Aguardiente Artisanal Rum comes from a protected Denomination of Origin known as Charanda. The Pacheco family has been using traditional methods to craft this rum since 1907. Puente shares the Pacheco's vision of civic duty and community involvement, and has committed to give 1% of profits from Gustoso Aguardiente Artisanal Rum to the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE).
PIQE was created in 1987 to form a partnership between students, parents, and teachers, which Puente believes is vital for the success of immigrant and Latino students. There is nothing more challenging than a parent trying to support their student with an incomplete understanding of the school system, and no relationships with teachers. Together, Puente and PIQE are changing that narrative.
The Gusto y Placer is a vibrant cocktail with a combination of blood orange and mint tied together with Gustoso Aguardiente and Luxardo that is sure to please.
